RBI – a saviour of our public money transaction system
*****************************************
Reserve Bank of India have introduced the concept of RuPay which no media has highlighted in good earnest.
Rupay, (means ‘Rupee, Payment) a new card payment scheme launched by the National Payment Corporation of India, an organization floated by 10 banks, to oversee all retail payment systems in India, about 3 year ago. Currently, all card payments are channelized via the foreign Gate ways like Visa or Mastercard, American Express, which process these transactions outside the country, but this may not be anylonger the case in the future. Ru Pay could be termed what is known as “Payment Gateway in Future for India”.
Nearly 10,00,000 Rupay cards will be issued by March 2013.
This will mitigate the spend by the Banks on Debt Cards designed and operated by foreign agencies.
Presently our banking system fully rely on the above mentioned Gateways. If any Banks fail to comply with their terms and conditions, they may not issue the Debt Card, ATM Card, Credit Card to them and such transactions are very precious and expensive, whereas the proposed RuPay cards will reduce the transaction cost and the payments within the Country will not get exposed to the Foreign Countries and privacy of our accounts can be maintained within our Country. Every Indian would very proud about this Card, because this is sudeshi concept and product.
Essentially, it deals with domestic transaction of money. In this case, it is freedom from the combined financial services offered by Visa, MasterCard and American Express etc and the companies like First Data Corp, Total System Services and others.
Having been lured into the comfort and luxury the plastic transaction through above foreign promoted cards, a vast population of our country, today is almost addicted to this kind of transaction and our money and economy in turn is getting siphoned off. It is our fortune that RBI smelt this and propose to control the ATM business before it grew too big. Today, our ATM business is Indian controlled and is setting international standards for this technology.
One cannot overlook the fact this foreign tied transaction has ramifications in the form of controlling the economy, controlling the float, by-passing the taxation system, keeping track of financial information of all kinds, and in short, running our country’s money abroad. So, if not taken a timely decision it spells danger to our financial system.
There are lobbies against this proposal and sabotaging efforts elsewhere. It is quite common. It is our oneness that should be demonstrated to counter these moves.
So, a citizen with nationistic fervour, please visit your bank today and find out about their involvement with RuPay you owe this to your country, and to the sovereign might of the Indian economy as a whole and the rupees in your cash box.
A plethora of ATMs from some banks—SBI, BoI, UBI, Axis Bank, BoB amongst them—already transact RuPay. Point of Sale machines are already in place ; and the number is encouragingly on the rise.
Please disseminate this information and help building self reliant financial transacting vehicle, that is Ru Pay.

Science for all … but have conscientious approach …

Science has its roots from the life of a common man and from his quest for
advancement. Hardwork was the key word for him. When history marched fast,
science too followed suit.
Today, science has advanced so much that it is a part of everyone’s life; like the
air we breathe in and the water we drink to quench our thirst. But we give the
least respect to the value of science and spells the doom. Pollution of environs,
commercialization of scientific inventions and discoveries, and the associated
corrupted practices are the adverse manifestations of science. Mind you, it is not the
fault of science. It is the fault of people who perpetrate such evils.
When atom was split, it was never the intention of the discoverer that it will be used
to annihilate mankind. He had noble intention of harnessing energy for the betterment
of mankind. When cloning was demonstrated, no one imagined that evil genes will
be replicated for illicit purposes. Take the case of stem cell research, it is and will be
doing wonders in the years to come.
Therefore, it is our bounden duty and responsibility to understand, appreciate and
protect the best values of science and when it is misused, one should not hesitate
raising voice and mobilise the masses in peaceful means to uphold the value of
science.
A day will be dawn when all the villages in our country will chant a universal slogan
that there is no disease, casteism and disparity between the rich and poor but before
that we have to understand clearly that science for the mankind and its welfare.
But before that let’s recall the words of Carl Sagan, a noted American astronomer,
and cosmologist, “ The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think
of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory
and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.
Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel
on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of the other corner, how frequent their
misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.”
With each and every step in which Science advances the future of mankind will
become splendid, fascinating and dignified. Scientific discoveries in present and
expected in near future in the field of health, medicines, space research, energy,
information technology, telecommunications are going to change the life style of
mankind and onus is on us to protect and preserve its value.

Students of modern time need to celebrate science and the creative thinking of school
students not only helps to promote science but also can be highly motivating for them
to achieve further. Science teachers and the professional scientists play a vital role
in promoting science and raising its profile with young people, by increasing student
participation, motivation and their achievement thereof . This can be encouraged by
mobilising professional scientists and engineers to support school science and by
celebrating students’ excellence in science.

Believe in thyself….! Tomorrow is in you hands!

The bondage (attachment) and Salvation are the making of yourselves. It is you who has to release and relieve yourself. If you rely on something for your happiness, or if you depend on something to yield prosperity to you, then it means you have no freedom. These words look meaningless outwardly. Let’s have more insight into this.

Freedom is one which keeps in you state of mind that you never ever rely on any things. You never lean against anything to generate happiness.

The following story will illustrate this point.

Long ago, it occurred to a Chief Minister of a King, who was known for his sharp skills, abilities, scholarly deeds. He was so able that King could not afford missing even for a while. All of a sudden, the minister decided to relieve himself of all responsibilities, shunning all the comforts that he enjoyed in that kingdom. He started believing that he never enjoyed freedom. He started reading many books and could not answer. He went to a temple and meditated for long time.

King was really sad that minister never reported for long, since he hoped that he was on some important confidential mission related to administration. Days went by. Months rolled by. He became so nervous that he ordered his soldiers for his search

One fine morning, he came to know that the Minister has entered into sainthood. He was astounded to see his minister living a spiritual life in all simplicity and humility.
He asked his minister reverentially, “ Swamiji, Do you recognize me?”. “Yes. I do.”
King: What have you achieved renouncing all those who enjoyed and sitting alone here?
Minister:Till yesterday, I was standing while you sat. Now, it is other way round.

This is the first benefit spiritualism has rendered to me.

So those who take to spiritualism need not be frightened of anything. It rather adds to your pride. Anyone conducting spiritually well, will have discipline and integrity. Fear never haunts him/her. Those have ego may appear to be powerful. But it is false.
Such a person will be always worried about maintaining his position and the so called power that he weilds. He/She will be always apprehend his position usurped by others and would like to get all his desires and aims fulfilled by any means. Such a person will get disillusioned if the desire is not fulfilled. But, those who have sincerity, discipline, virtues and society oriented deeds will have real power. They are spititualists. In their hands lies the future world.

Let’s follow Adi Sankara, Sant Guru Nanak, Guru Teg Bahadur, Gautam Buddha, Swami RamKrishna Parma Hans, Swami Vivekannda, and learn from their spiritual lives. They lived in modern world and preached noble ideals and maxims.
Let us understand spiritualism is
•	a science because it interrogates, analyzes, and classifies facts and manifestations of Spirit;

Preface to ASGAH BHATKAN (limitless QuestS.Harbans Singh,M.A.,P.E.S.(I) Former Registrar,Panjabi University Patiala.
“Give up hope of destination—-
Go on, go on the way without rancour,
Rejoice, dear friend,
That distances are expanding ever;
Receding is hope
Of reaching the goal”

These are some of the most beautiful lines in Bhagwant Singh’s latest collection entitled ASGAH BHATKAN (limitless Quest): lines which are sensitive, eloquent and meaningful . They represent the central theme of his poetry – the distance between desire and realization, between hope and despair, between love and hate. Here is recaptured the true rhythm and conceit of poetry as well as serenity of a philosophic vision .A consciousness of the uncertainty of fulfillment and fragility of human happiness has characterized Bhagwant Singh’s verse from the very beginning . He thus cut out the period of apprenticeship in romantic sentimentalism through which practically all of our Punjabi poets have passed. This is the reason why his poetry looks maturer than his years.

ASGAH BHATKAN , which is Bhagwant Singh’s third collection, marks a significant stage in his own growth to adulthood. He has here achieved greater poise and certitude and a surer control over his medium. Despite the turbulence of the poet’s spirit, this latest verse is remarkable for its restraint of expression and smoothness of rhythm. The sobriety of tone he has attained should be a prelude to still greater achievement.

Bhagwant Singh belongs to none of the schools which dominate Punjabi poetry today. He maintains a genuinely personal and individual tone of voice. Its principal notes are a deeply felt anguish of the soul and an undercurrent of faith and optimism . He does not
let himself be completely, overwhelmed by his sense of suffering and seeks redemption for it in articulation , in song, in creative act. This mystique of the poetic articulation is what separates him from such of his contemporaries as seek refuge in the social act or the absurd. He does not write as if to convey or communicate , but to share an experience . This gives to his work a tonal quality of emotive stress and inner conflict. His expression , though straight forward and matter- of – fact, acquires a sharpness verging occasionally on the satirical . Essentially a poet of cynical sensibility, Bhagwant Singh is refereshingly exempt from cant and frothiness.
Bhagwant Singh’s involvement with his own self may look somewhat morbid , but the experience he seeks to realize has a quality of genuiness. The world of frustration he recreates in his poems is not an unrecognizeable phenomen. This lends to the poet’s vision communicability as well as integrity. ……Dated 1965
